THE COMPLETE LIST OF CANNABINOIDS IN CANNABIS
OTHER ELEMENTS IN CANNABIS
As amazing cannabinoids are, other elements of cannabis also contribute to the effects, flavors, and aromas of the entire plant.
ENTOURAGE EFFECT
Compounds that drive the “Entourage Effect” are cannabinoids, terpenoids and flavonoids. This effect depends not only on these compounds present in cannabis but also on the dosage, body metabolism, and many other factors. What Is the Entourage Effect? Why do unique cannabis strains cause dramatically different effects?
-
Terpenes: Terpenes are the compounds that provide the scent and flavors for the cannabis strains. As with cannabinoids, there are over 100 different terpenes in hemp. Each terpene has unique scents and effects. Some terpenes may have spicy and peppery tastes to give us a much-needed boost, while others may be smooth and earthy to help us relax.
-
Flavonoids: Flavonoids are compounds that give plants their bright, flashy colors. But flavonoids are also nutrient-rich with high levels of antioxidants that can benefit our health. All fruits and vegetables contain some level of flavonoids as well.
Cannabinoids
A type of chemical in marijuana that causes drug-like effects all through the body, including the central nervous system and the immune system. The main active cannabinoid in marijuana is delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
Delta
Delta-8 is a type of THC, which is the psychoactive compound in the cannabis sativa plant. Delta-8 Tetrahydrocannabinol is naturally found in the cannabis plant, but not in significant amounts. Therefore, concentrated amounts are commonly made from CBD.
Scientists have demonstrated that CBDA can affect the body’s 5-HT serotonin-producing receptors, hinting at a potential use for CBDA as a medication for chemotherapy-induced nausea/vomiting (CINV) and other conditions that induce these symptoms. However, more research is needed.
CBDM should be researched further as a potential anti-inflammatory and anti-allergy
-
Cannabidivarin (CBDV) a non-psychotropic minor cannabinoid that (contributes) to the entourage effect by lending it its unique health benefits
- Cannabidivarinic acid (CBDVA) a non-psychotropic minor cannabinoid that contributes to the entourage effect by lending it its unique health benefits. tolerance in patients with intractable forms of epilepsy.
Cannabichromene, or CBC, is a powerful, non-psychoactive cannabinoid, meaning it will not cause a patient to feel “high.” CBC, like THC and CBD, has been shown to encourage the human brain to grow by increasing the viability of developing brain cells in a process known as neurogenesis. CBC plays a significant role in the anti-cancer and anti-tumor capabilities of cannabis.
CBCV has been reputed to be a powerful anandamide (AEA) reuptake inhibitor, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antibiotic and antifungal properties. This means that CBCV might be able to treat a variety of medical conditions such as pain, depression, inflammation, cancer, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, among others.
CBGA and CBGVA can be considered the “stem cells” of all the cannabinoids found in Cannabis sativa. When exposed to certain enzymes, CBGA might change into THCA, CBDA, CBCA, or other carboxylic acid cannabinoid precursors. CBGVA, for its part, transforms into the “varin” counterparts of common carboxylic acid cannabinoid precursors such as CBDVA or THCVA.
CBLA (cannabicyclolic acid) is a rare non-intoxicating compound found in cannabis. CBLA is not an original cannabinoid present in living cannabis plants, but a photochemical product formed as a result of environmental changes that alter the chemical composition of CBCA (cannabichromenic acid). When CBCA is exposed to heat or UV light, it degrades and is converted into CBLA. CBLA is not an original cannabinoid and should be categorized as an artificial product.
Cannabicyclovarin, or CBLV, is a minor, non-psychotropic cannabinoid found in cannabis or hemp. It is specifically located in the resinous trichomes of the plant. potential to support the body as an anti-inflammatory, appetite stimulant, nausea aid, and pain relief.
Cancer
Multiple sclerosis
Epilepsy
Chronic pain
Drug addiction and alcoholism
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Depression
Unlike THC, neither CBG nor CBGA are intoxicating. While CBG may act on the endocannabinoid system via CB1 and CB2, that is not thought to be the case for CBGA. Additionally, like all cannabinoid acids, they are thought to be more water soluble and likely do not cross the blood brain barrier as well as their decarboxylated counterparts. And while there is essentially no research to say what CBGA does when taken by humans, CBGA has undergone preliminary (preclinical) research for its effects in seizures, inflammation, diabetes, and even COVID infections.

Cannabigerolic acid monomethylether (CBGAM)
-
Cannabigerol monomethylether (CBGM)
-
Cannabigerovarin (CBGV)
-
Cannabigerovarinic acid (CBGVA)

Research on CBNA is limited but no less impressive than CBN. In fact, CBNA could potentially be a better, more efficient anticancer treatment and antibacterial agent than CBN.
Very maturely aged cannabis plants seem to have a higher content of CBN-C1 than younger, less mature plants. a curative agent for mental diseases, like Alzheimer’s disease. Other neuro-protective effects might be capable, too.
CBN affects gross morphology, heart rate, MN development, locomotion and hair cell development.
-
Cannabinol-C4 (CBN-C4)
-
Cannabinodiol (CBND)
-
Cannabinol methylether (CBNM)
-
Cannabivarin (CBV)
-
Cannabinodivarin (CBVD)
8, 9-Dihydroxy-delta-6a-tetrahydrocannabinol is another compound present in the cannabis plant that might be used to produce different treatments such as skin treatment. But there is still a need for thorough research work to fully understand and reveal the nature and effects of this compound on the human body.

About our Location
MIMBRES VALLEY, NEW MEXICO
HWS is located in San Lorenzo (Mimbres Valley), New Mexico near the Gila Forest. San Lorenzo is an old Hispanic village located in the Rio del Oso drainage in northern New Mexico. It is off Highway 84, approximately 9 miles southwest of Chili. In the mid 1800s Jicarilla Apache settled into the valley, traded and worked with the settlers. Records show a schoolhouse located there. Probably abandoned in 1930's or 1940's.

Mimbres Valley Anthropologists and historians have long debated the location of the Garden of Eden. Theories abound but surely God’s graceful touch has anointed the Magical Mimbres Valley with many Eden-like qualities. Its narrow strip of fertile land framing the Mimbres River invited settlers from the first agriculturally oriented Mimbreno Indians to the Spanish explorers to the present-day seekers who discover a treasure more enduring than the Seven Cities of Gold sought by the conquistadors.

The magical river itself, named for the Spanish word for the enormous willow trees that hang their feathery branches along its banks, issues from the high country of the Gila and Also Leopold Wilderness, a hundred square miles of pristine back country. There’s enough hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, riding and bird watching here to fill several lifetimes. Deer, elk, bear, lion, turkey and javalinas are found here in abundance and the Mimbres River is situated on the migratory flyway of hundreds of bird species. The steep mountains and rolling hills force the river on a slow and meandering course toward its disappearance into the Chihuahuan Desert north of Deming.

Today the magical valley offers a charming blend of past and present. The riverside is punctuated by traditional Hispanic family orchards, small scale organic farming operations, berry patches and graceful vineyards. The visitor can sample fresh home baked bread, taste a glass of local wine or soak in one of the healthful hot springs found throughout the area.
